Service

CloudCostIQ helps customers understand, prioritize, assign, and verify cloud cost savings work. The service may include uploaded billing evidence, connected cloud billing ingestion, savings recommendations, weekly reviews, executive summaries, proof packets, workflow integrations, and managed savings support.

Unless a separate written agreement, order form, or statement of work says otherwise, CloudCostIQ provides analysis, workflow support, and human-reviewed recommendations. We do not resize, delete, start, stop, deploy, purchase, or otherwise modify cloud resources without explicit customer approval and an execution-scoped workflow.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload billing files, connect cloud accounts, invite users, and share cost, usage, resource, team, and vendor information with CloudCostIQ. You are also responsible for reviewing recommendations before acting on them and for deciding whether a proposed savings action is appropriate for your environment, reliability requirements, security posture, and business needs.

Cloud access

Standard cloud connections are designed for billing and cost evidence. AWS connections use read-only billing access through an IAM role. Azure connections use a dedicated service principal with Cost Management Reader and, where needed, Reader for resource metadata. Google Cloud support may use uploaded billing exports or controlled billing export access.

Customer administrators can revoke cloud access at any time from their cloud provider. CloudCostIQ may store encrypted cloud credentials, integration metadata, billing evidence, normalized cost facts, and audit records required to operate the service.

Reports, recommendations, and savings claims

CloudCostIQ reports and recommendations are decision-support outputs. They are intended to help customers investigate cost changes, identify likely savings opportunities, assign owners, and verify whether savings appeared in later billing data.

Savings estimates are not guaranteed unless a separate written agreement expressly includes an outcome commitment. Verified Savings means the product has associated a savings claim with later billing evidence and a review record; it does not guarantee that every cost driver, anomaly, or optimization opportunity has been found.

Managed savings pilots

Some customers may purchase a managed savings pilot or other services package. Pilot scope, fees, success metrics, payment terms, customer obligations, and any savings guarantee or success-fee arrangement must be stated in the applicable order form, statement of work, or written agreement. If that document conflicts with these Terms, that document controls for the conflicting subject.

AI and third-party services

CloudCostIQ may use AI providers to generate explanations, summaries, and recommendations from structured or aggregated billing data. We do not intentionally send raw uploaded files to language model providers for narrative generation. The service also relies on subprocessors for hosting, authentication, storage, email, billing, and workflow delivery.

Acceptable use

You may not use CloudCostIQ to violate law, compromise another organization, upload data you are not authorized to share, attack or overload the service, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected systems, or interfere with other customers.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for your users, invited teammates, cloud credentials, and account activity. Organization owners and administrators should grant the least access necessary. CloudCostIQ may suspend access if we believe an account is being misused, creates security risk, or violates these Terms.

Billing

Paid subscriptions, managed services, pilots, and success-fee arrangements are billed according to the plan, checkout session, order form, statement of work, or written agreement that applies to the customer. Subscription plans may be monthly or annual. Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees are non-refundable and access continues through the end of the paid period after cancellation.

Availability and changes

We work to keep CloudCostIQ available and reliable, but no online service is available at all times. We may change features, integrations, limits, or supported providers as the product evolves. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to avoid materially reducing paid customer functionality during an active subscription or pilot term.

Confidentiality

Cloud billing data can reveal business-sensitive infrastructure, product, and vendor information. Each party will protect the other party's confidential information using reasonable care and will use it only to provide, receive, secure, support, or improve the service, unless disclosure is required by law.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

CloudCostIQ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis except where a separate written agreement states otherwise. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloudCostIQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or cloud costs incurred from customer-approved changes. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts paid to CloudCostIQ by the customer during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

Customers may stop using the service or cancel according to their plan or agreement. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, unlawful use, or material breach. After termination, customers may request deletion or export of available customer data subject to legal, security, billing, and audit retention requirements.
